Answering his own Question, “Can the Muslim view of Allah be directly identified as the root cause that ignited the present unrest in the Muslim world?” i.e. the Arab spring/unrest in year 2011, Mr. Oskar said: “According to traditional Islam, Allah is the solitary one, none other than He is necessary. Everything is created for Him and managed by Him alone. Only Allah is entitled to be worshipped. This description can almost literally be applied to the dictators of the Middle East and North Africa. Like Allah who does what He wills, they too are not being bound by anything or anybody and do as they please like Allah who threatens His slaves into submission with fear of punishment and Hell. Earthly Muslim rulers try to keep themselves in power by using brutal force on protesters who demand their resignation”

Yes! Some Muslims despite all the guidance and beautiful teachings available for them still do silly and disgraceful things not expected of them. Among such are the present rulers of some Muslim countries, not only on ruling issues but on welfare and unity of the ummah, they are bad examples of rulers Muslims ever had!

Mr. Oskar was right in his similitude on one hand, in that they want to become thin god, but cannot. If they are in their senses and uphold the true Islamic belief by the fact that Surah Iklas says: “There is none unlike unto Allah”Q114: 5, should make them behave and relinquish power when demanded of them. But the comment is wrong on the other hand when he was trying to say their action is what their belief or religion teaches them or what they learnt from the belief. The truth is that there is not a single doctrine or teaching or precept in Islam that can be put to shame or count as irrelevant by anybody. Islam sets the best order for every facet of life, ruling inclusive.

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet to have said: “You people will be keen to have authority of ruling which will be a thing of regret for you on the day of resurrection…” (Bukhariy). It is foolishness to be comparing the uniqueness of Almighty Being with human attempt and imitation of the same when we all known his weakness. There is no doubt that many Muslims leaders of today especially in the Arab world do not follow the lessons of the Prophet and caliphs they met on ground. The Prophet said: “My sunnah is obligatory upon you, and the sunnah of my rightly guided successors, hold fast to it” (Ahmad). What we are experiencing among the Muslims leaders today was not the prophet sunnah.

Allah says: “Say ‘O Allah possessor of the kingdom, You give the kingdom to whom You will, and You take the kingdom from whom You will and You endow with honour whom You will and You humiliate  whom You will. In Your hand is the good. Verily You are able to  do all things” Q3: 26.  “He Allah cannot be questioned as to what He does but they (men) will be questioned” Q21: 23. If these are taught by Islam and known by the rulers, then which belief are they entertaining in their minds? There is no single justification for wrong doing by any ruler- just like their Christian counterparts. The Muslims rulers who are trying to perpetuate themselves on the throne know the truth, they know they can never near Allah let alone becoming any kind of God, but they only stash the truth in their mind.

As usual for Christians, Mr. Oskar cannot but be partial and unjust in his comment to focus the Muslim dictators and overlooked his brothers such as  Paul Biya, Robert Mugabe, Teodoro Mbasogo, Isaias Afewerki, U Thein Sein, Fidel Castrol and host of others who are trying to perpetuate  themselves in power even by mean of democracy which he claimed  to be  in the spirit of Judeo-Christian mind, but which has no basis in the Bible or the practice of the kings and Prophets in the Bible even great grandfather of Jesus- David did not rule by any element of democracy let alone his father in heaven who claimed to be a Jealous God, did not show it at once. So we don’t know how and where in the Bible democracy is established or Christianized philosophy through Trio God. It is interestingly amusing and misleading to reasonable mind.

Mr. Oskar  writes: “Solution to the current turmoil; the right views of God” says “If the wrong view of God is responsible for the mess we are in then it naturally follows that the right view of Him will lead  to the only way out of it”. After gyrating in academic exercise about the incomprehensible nature of God, he asked, “then why should it be such a problem if there is some aspect of God’s essential nature – his Trinitarian existence, which is difficult for us to grasp?”

To them, that God is One and Only and Powerful without partner is wrong view that lead to wrong governance and the Trinity existence of God in one is the right view that lead to democracy which is the solution! Earlier he says: “We all accept that God has no beginning” if that is so, then Trinity cannot stand because Jesus has beginning in this world whereas God exists before the heaven and the world! World cannot tell the beginning story of God but we can tell that of Jesus with all convenience and detail. Once Jesus is said to be among Trinity it means nothing like that exist. No single verse of Old Testament supports Trinity but the unchangeable God changed in the New Testament even though, Trinity is never mentioned at once. It therefore has double strangeness and is double confusing. What we have in Christianity on this argument and analysis is nothing but pseudo- reasoning and contemplation based on conceit that lacks true guidance of Jesus or his faith. This led to deviation from the natural right course and leading them to modern day idolatry called Trinity. Reason alone outside divine guidance and truth holds no value.

He writes: “The Quran too testifies that Jews and Christians- the people of the book believe in one God” Q29: 46. And to muddle up issues and place pure Islamic faith in the same pot of misguidance and idolatry concept with Trinity in Christianity, Mr. Oskar said: “while the word ‘Trinity’ does not appear in the Bible, the concept of it is quite clearly taught throughout its pages. Similarly the Muslim creed, known as ‘kalimah’ does not occur in the Quran. The whole sentence is put together from two different surahs. Muslims call Allah Al-Adl-meaning the Just, Al-Wajid meaning the Inventor, Adh- Dhur meaning the Harmful’ etc based on the list of the 99 names of God. However these words are nowhere found in the Quran but Muslims still accept these attributes as belonging to God”

That verse and others of its kind in the Quran is not referring to the extreme and misguided Christians of nowadays who do not  put Christ in his right position but ‘Christians,’ contemporaries and few immediate past of Jesus who did not know Jesus as God but a mere Prophet (Luke 24: 19; Matthew 21: 10-11). Mr. Zegers, the president of Isaac Rebecca Ministry, writes: “There existed in the time of Muhammad Christians sects in the Arabian peninsula who denied the divinity of Christ, his sonship of God and his crucifixion”. Not during the time of Muhammad but also at the presence of Christ himself, it is such people Quran 29: 46 is addressing.

But is it not a surprise to say Kalimah Shaadah does not present in the Quran. What is the relationship between Trinity doctrine and Kalimah shaadah? Trinity is concept of God in its strange existence as claimed by Christians whereas Shaadah is the statement of testimony of Islamic belief not Concept of  God. The creed contains two things i.e. Concept of God which is One and Only and the second part is the Prophethood of Muhammad(SAW).

At-Taoheed is the concept of God in Islam and it does not involve Muhammad as a God beside Allah, so one cannot expect it to always be occurring together as what Christians are trying to do for Jesus in Trinity. Aside, Prophet Muhammad(SAW) thought us the Concept of God  which is ‘Waheed’- One and does not at any time include his ownself. He even said: “Whoever says ‘La ilaha illa-Allah’ sincerely will enter Paradise” (Al-Jami). He also said: “Whoever says ‘La ilaha Illa Allah’, it will be his salvation someday, no matter what befalls him before that” (Baihaqiy).

Whereas the second part which reads “Muhammad Rosululah’ encodes the belief that he was sent as a messenger by Allah. So we believe in what he reported as truth, we obey him in whatever he commanded, we abstain from whatever he prohibited and worship Allah in the manner he demonstrated for us. If you don’t believe in his Prophethood, you will not be rightly guided to do things in a manner satisfactorily to Allah. It is thus mandatory that one follow how he did things, His life is the perfect and best standard for any man who wish to be saved. Allah says: “If you love Allah then follow Muhammad, it is then Allah will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allah is Forgiving, Most Merciful” Q3: 31.

Now, to have said, ‘the whole sentence is put together from two different surah’ is irrelevant in the face of the above analysis and plain falsehood. ‘Surah’ means chapter while ‘ayat’ means verse. If one say the two parts of Kalimah shaadah do not occur in the same ayat, we agree based on the analysis above, but to say they are put together from two surah is false as we have it stated across the Quran. The complete statement can be extracted from many surah: “Know therefore that, ‘there is no God other than Allah…O you who believe obey Allah and Obey the Messenger and let not your works go vain” Q47: 19 &33. See also Q37: 35& 37; Q3: 18, 31 &144.

He also said: “…the list of the 99 names of Allah. However, these words are nowhere found in the Quran but Muslims still accept these attributes as belonging to God.” This is amusing falsehood which does not even need a reply! Scores of these attributes can even be found in few verses of the Quran let alone the whole Quran. If you are bothered check –Q 2: 255; Q40: 2-3; Q57: 1-5; Q59: 22-24. In fact Quran is awashed with Allah attributes more than 99! One needs to open his eyes and mind to see.

He writes: “The Christians definition of Trinity is expressed in the Athanasian Creed: “We worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in unity neither confounding (mixing up) the persons, nor dividing the substance (Essence)…Christian do not worship three Gods but one God because each member of the Godhead in some sense indwells the other, without diminishing the full personhood of each. The essential unity of Godhead, then is found both in their intrinsic equality of divine characteristic and also in the intensely personal unity that comes from mutual indwelling. Thus when God the son dies on cross, God did not cease to exist but separated from himself regarding the relationship within the Trinity not regarding his essence. It is held that although the doctrine is beyond the grasp of human reason, it is like many of the formulation of physical science not contrary to reason, and may be apprehended though it may not be comprehended by human mind. The Trinity of God, like many other  facts about him does  not have to be understood fully, but to be believed in!” And quoting one Professor Lewis, he said: “If Christianity was something we were making up of course we could make it easier. But it is not. We cannot compete in simplicity, with people who are inventing religions”

Can anybody understand what he was saying? Confusion breeds nothing but confusion and is as ugly and repulsing as the image of Trinity head published by Jehovah Witness as exhibited below! Is that what Mr. Oskar want us to belief as foundation of good governance?  In other word Trinity is the extreme and complex but right view of God which cannot be explained or understood to the comprehension of human reason but must be believed! That is strange and expected to be told by Christ himself for certitude.  Our question is where in the Old Testament did God exist as Trio God, where are the pointers to concept of three headed God in one and where in the New testaments? Where did Jesus say God exist in three form of one? Where did he say he was one God and Holy Spirit another beside his father so that the concept of Trinity is built? Is Athanasian Creed Jesus statement or definition or God’s revelation and why was it needed?  In which year did Muslims sit round table to formulate another creed like Athanasian of Christian, not taught by Muhammad(SAW)?

Candidly, Christians with their Trinity became complicated not by Jesus, but by the Gentiles of today starting from Paul who mixed half truth with half false to make his hybrid faith called Christianity with his confession: “For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory, why then am I also judged as a sinner?” Roman 3: 7. This is where complication of Trinity came into Christianity. If Christianity is not a made up religion then was it Jesus who taught Trinity and relegation of true worship and law in the faith? God is said ‘not to be author of confusion’, who then confused the Christians?

The Jehovah Witness, a sect in Christianity has the picture of Trinity which many Christian like Mr. Oskar worship and consider as the right view of God’s existence.                  This is published in one of their special editions bookletand also writes there under as follows: “Trinity: Is Jehovah a Trinity-three persons in one God? No! Jehovah, the father, is ‘the only true God’ -John 17: 3; Mark 12: 29.Jesus is His first born son, and he is subject to God- 1 Corinthian 11: 3.The father is greater than the son-John 14:28. The Holy Spirit is not a person, it is God’s active force- Genesis 1: 2, Act 2: 18”.Thus simplifying what Mr. Oskar and his professor are making complex! We don’t need to engage in senseless and complex argument. When you get conviction of your brothers in Christianity-the Jehovah Witness to remove their assertion on the picture that ‘God is not a Trinity’, you can let us know! Did Jesus have PhD. holder and Professor among his disciples whom he taught logic of complexity of Trinity?

William E.C. has our question in mind for the like of argument and analysis of Mr. Oskar as he asked in his book: “Where do you meet in the New Testament the phraseology which abound in Trinitarian books and which necessarily grows from the doctrine of two natures of Jesus. Where does this divine teacher say, this I speak as God and this as man, this is true only of my human mind; this only of my divine? Nowhere! It was not needed in that day. It was demanded by the error of later age”. And that error has turned to ‘reality’ to celebrate the ‘salvation’ of the world.

Mr. Oskar writes: “God’s true unity determines successful governance of nations… The relevance of Trinity is to emphasize both the individual and state as well as a large variety of mediating institutions which form the basis of a pluralistic society… the Trinity of God consists of a unity within a profound diversity. Human are made in God’s image… the past move towards multiculturalism and its overemphasis on diversity in Europe and USA has rightfully been recognized as too extreme. It is indeed threatening the balance exemplified in the Trinity. The unity in these societies which previously resulted from faith in the same Biblical worldview is being replaced by a post modernistic belief that there is no absolute truth… A society built upon the Biblical worldview will respect, protect and assimilate minorities but they will not be able to dominate it with their own worldviews”

All this boils down to nothing in the face of the fact that there is nothing like Trinity as asserted by Jehovah Witness and according to William above, Trinity is an error  of contemporary Christians. How then can error become guidance or lead to progress and justice? The whole Biblical history and salvation does not address entire humanity but focused on children of Israel, both the father and the son were busy on the Israelites and declared the same in clear term: “Hear this word that Lord has spoken concerning you, O son of Israel… you people only have I known out of all the families on the earth” Amos 3: 1-2 “And what other nation in the earth is like your people Israel when God went to redeem to be his own people to make thee a name of greatness and terribleness ”1 Chronicle 17: 21; “these twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them saying, go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not. But go ye rather unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel” Matthew 10: 5-6. Is there any place where Biblical God and his son address the whole of humanity in this same manner? They only breed racism!

Many things are being practiced in US and Europe today which have no smallest reference from the Bible but adapted from Islamic history or Quran and hadith when thoroughly studied. Virtually nothing commendable exists in the governance in Europe and US today without having a better reference of it in the history of Islamic autocracy, up to pluralistic society which Christian are fearing inclusion of Muslims. Prophet Muhammad(SAW) once instructed his followers: “You should listen to and obey your ruler even if he was an Ethiopian slave whose head looks like a raisin” (Bukhariy). Allah says: “O mankind, we have created you from a male and female; and We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes that you may recognize one another. Verily the most honourable among you in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you”Q49:13.

A man with just and true conscience, Leonard knows and tells it all: "Let Europe-Christendom rather confess and acknowledge her fault. Let her proclaim aloud to her ignorant masses, and to the world at large, the ingratitude she has displayed and the eternal debt she owes to Islam she no longer despises. Open confession is good for the soul and only a confession such as this can wipe off the black stain which has for so long besmirched her fair name. Let Christendom once and for all recognize that the greatest of all faults is to be conscious of none- that acknowledging a fault is saying, only in other words, we are wiser today than we were yesterday. Only through magnanimity such as this can she claim redemption. For she must surely know that injustice founded on religious sources and national conceit cannot be perpetrated forever.”

History of Europe social and scientific development is never on the side of Christianity. We all know what Church did to the great Galileo and his counterparts during their scientific discoveries. Even nowadays, the evils of child sexual abuse and homosexual that emerged among Christian leaders in the US and Europe and corruption and exploitation of poor sheep by the shepherd in Africa, as well as international diplomacy characterized by double standard, belligerent and exploitation of US and its allies are clear proof that Trinity is irrelevant to governance let alone individual life. When Islam was ruling the world, the universe was in peace, no double standard, no illegal occupation or wrong invasion, no secret evangelization, no isolation and no oppression of other states as we are witnessing under the countries of Trinity today, showing what it stands for!

During the era of Umar, the second caliphate of Islam, it came to a time when there was nobody to take alms! Everybody was at least middle class, no destitute in the then Islamic world. Did Jesus miracle produce that status in the city of Jerusalem? Which country or community of Trinity in history has ever attained that feat? Like his lord Jesus who called for tribalism, Mr. Oskar also did the same by saying: “the past move towards multiculturalism and its overemphasis on diversity in Europe and USA has rightfully been recognized as too extreme. It is indeed threatening the balance exemplified in the Trinity”. Part of their fear is many Christians converting to Islam.

Mr. Oskar said: “Islam and other religions except Biblical Christianity teach that human being are  basically good though with the capacity to do bad when reality fails to match this ideal a totalitarian political system is created to maintain order. To the contrary the Bible teaches that man is basically a sinner with the capacity to do good.”

This claim is not that of Jesus but Paul. Jesus’ teaching that: “…suffer the little children to come to me and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God” Mark 10: 14, erodes the claim.  If basically they are sinners, then Jesus was in error for his statement. Golden age of Islam proves him wrong as well. In Islam, sin is not inborn but acquired; it is not inbuilt but emergent and not inevitable but avoidable. It is a deliberate conscious violation of Allah’s law. Allah says: “By the soul and its perfection. And its inspiration as to what is wrong and right…” Q91: 7-8. The consciousness of this, made our foremost leaders in Islam totally successful as rulers. They followed complete guidance of the Quran and hadith that teach how to tame one’s covetousness and pocket sin and Satan. They all left glittering record for coming generations. Today type of Muslim rulers who are despotic cannot claim a slight support of Islam for what they are doing. They only follow their own greed and innate self and will be held accountable for staining Islamic record and evils they perpetrate.

The Prophet said: “Verily I am leaving amongst you that which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray- the Book of Allah (Quran) and His Prophet’s Sunnah” (Hakim). Shariah, the Islamic law found in the two guiding books is so comprehensive system of law that is divine in origin, religious in essence, and moral in scope. In Islam religious and law are indivisible just like soul and body are indivisible, law is eternal concept of religion. Its application therefore covers both overt and covert behaviors, to the manifest acts and innermost feelings and thought of man. Islamic law holds the religious, moral and legal elements as indivisible may suggest that in the Islamic conception of society the mechanisms of social control are likewise indivisible. Islamic law was formulated with a view to incorporating in one system a religious spirit, a moral fabric, and a mundane practicality. It sets before man ends beyond his immediate sense of time and space, conceiving God as an integral part of any action situation. So in Islam the government rule is not as belief of who God is but what God’s order - that is Shariah.  Once one knows he is not God and will be held accountable, there is no tendency towards totalitarian. Even if it is, it stands the best as the Bible even says: “…for whatsoever is out of faith is sin” Roman 14: 23. So democracy without God’s order is sin Biblically!

If a Muslim ruler therefore resolved to totalitarian, it is not taught by Islam or inspired by his belief in Oneness of Allah. Instructions found in the Quran and hadith such as: “O you who believe! Be strict in observing justice, and be witness for Allah, even though it be against yourself or your parents and kindred. Whether he be rich or poor, Allah is more regardful of them both than you are. Therefore follow not low desires so that you may act equitably…” Q4: 135.  “We shall set up scales of justice for the day of judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it to account and enough are We to take account” Q21: 47. And the Prophet said: “A true Muslim is one from whose tongue and hand the Muslims are safe” (Bukhariy) and “One who wields a weapon against us is not one of us” (Muslim), prevent injustice and totalitarian and it seems these are what have been forgotten by many Muslim leaders.

Mortal man cannot liken his rule to that of his Creator, only Allah has right to dictate and enforce His will. Prophet Muhammad(SAW) did not rule as a totalitarian but was known for his consultation even with  the disbelievers and he would choose the best. The same was the way of the sahabah. When the first caliphate Abu Bakr took to the throne, among his first speech as the head of the Muslim world was, “…O people! I have been given office although I am not the best among you. If I did well support me and if I deviated rectify me. Truthfulness is a deposit and lying is treason. The weak person among you is strong with me till I restore his right and the strong person among you is weak with me till I take what he has usurped…obey me as long as I obeyed Allah, if I disobeyed Him there is no right of obedience!…” Does this sound totalitarian? And he and his successors lived by the same. If man is primarily sinners, and if believing God to be one and only is wrong and lead to totalitarian how possible were the foremost Muslim rulers not be victims? No Christian ruler has ever exhibited the egalitarian, just, pious and peaceful state as displayed by Muslim rulers of history. It was Christian’s system and belief that corrupted the greedy and gullible Muslim rulers in their forgetfulness. And we know the role West played in the abolition of Caliphacy in the Muslim world.

All sweet characteristics mentioned with democracy which Mr. Oskar said are products of Trinity have been existing under the shariah of Islam before the birth of the proponents of democracy at all. One cannot but laugh at Christians claiming non-existing credit for wrong view of God even without any pointer to history of such as a stepping stone to success in governance. Trinity of all, its concept, application and products is as ugly, demonic and repulsing on belief, living and governance as the above Jehovah witness image of it! What is good in democracy that takes care of human material wants and neglect spiritual needs. To Christians material success is synonymous with spiritual victory. A system of government that allows you to query God’s veracity, supremacy and existence, that does not lay emphasis on moral upliftment, but sees God’s forbidden acts like homosexual, usury, nakedness, polytheism, drunkenness as violation of human right.

A critical look at the presidents of the so called democratic countries will revealed to the observer that all presidents of republics and democracies are hypocrites, cruel, unjust despots who are only at the helm for personal glory and monetary gain. They were only ‘democratically’ elected, but are too far from being democrat. In a true Islamic system of government, fear for Allah permeates the administration. The Ruler is not the maker of laws, he merely dispenses the divine laws of Almighty Allah. And by Allah’s order, he is not expected to be an unjust despot like the presidents of democracies, and the Caliphates recorded this success.

It should be noted that the wisdom behind the crime of Adam and Eve was eating the fruit of knowledge that tend to make them independence of God in their living and recognizing themselves like what western democracy stands to represent today through Christian apologists like Mr. Oskar. Unfortunately their knowledge and judgment can never be perfect except with God’s guidance. Allah says: “We said ‘get down all of you from this place, then whenever there come to you guidance from Me, and whoever follows My guidance, there shall be no fear on them, nor shall they grieve” Q2: 38. - That mankind is fallible is known and that Almighty alone has knowledge of everything including governance is what Shariah of Islam holds. Mankind must be ruled by divine order, his own knowledge has failed him many times and cannot rule complexity of his behavior, therefore must depend on guidance of his Lord,  that is Shariah. Bible on the other hand lacks true guidance and instead has brought misguidance. That is the reason an European scribe, Mr. George Bernard Shaw has earlier dismissed Mr. Oskar’s claim that, the unity and advancement of Europe and US under democracy resulted from faith in the Biblical worldview, by recommending as follows on the Bible: “The most dangerous book on earth is the Bible, keep it under lock and key!”

What then is the essence of a system that allows one to have all what one wants in the world but neglect and lost his salvation? That is where the world view of Christianity with its kind of democratic view is wrong. Islamic Shariah in any form either, Kilaafat (autocracy), adopted democracy, monarchy, socialist wants you to life happily and enforces on you the recognition of true God and His worship for your salvation in the hereafter. Therefore, cure for the Arab unrest is never found in the wrong view of God’s unity as Trinity but for the leaders to retrace their steps to what Islam teaches them, fear Allah, listen to their conscience, be just and emulate the tradition of the Prophet and his sahaaba on governance that has proved Christians’ claim wrong and false several times.

May Allah make it easy for you to accept the truth!
